Teacher Trevor Tuthill- Medical Emergency

Hi, my name is Christine Norris. I am fundraising for Trevor Tuthill. I work with Trevor Tuthill.

As a special education teacher, Mr. Trevor Tuthill has worked in Gadsden Independent School District for over five years at Gadsden Middle School in Anthony, New Mexico. He is a single parent. On Friday, May 13, 2022, he suffered a medical emergency no more than two miles out of the middle school gates while driving home to Las Cruces, New Mexico. Needing emergency transportation via an ambulance, an emergency room, hospital stay, and the cost of medication, he will have some large medical bills that he can’t cover on a teacher’s salary. We are asking for financial assistance to help Mr. Tuthill with his medical expenses. Any amount will be appreciated. Thank you!

Update: 9-10-2022

Mr. Tuthill just came back to work on 9-6-22 at Gadsden Middle School. He updated me on his summer. He suffered a second catatonic seizure on June 24, 2022. This one was more serious. It caused a fractured skull on the left side of his head, a fractured left scapula, and a fractured left humerus arm bone. He had to be airlifted by a medical transport helicopter from Las Cruces, NM, where he lives, to University Medical Center in El Paso, TX, for urgent specialized care. As a single parent, this was devastating. He had to undergo lifesaving surgeries on his brain and his left arm. His life savings are all spent on the medical bills from his first seizure. He now owes more than $260,000 in unpaid medical expenses. He is trying to work with the hospitals, doctors, and medical evacuation helicopter company to form a payment plan, but it is too much! Please help!
