Teaching Self-Defense to Girls Around the World

Around the world, 1 in 3 women have faced a form of assault. 1 in 4 women have faced attacks from intimate partners. Every minute, 28 girls below the age of 18 get married.

 

These problems are very real and very common. It's up to us to help women around the world. BAM (Basic Applied Martial Arts) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to teaching self-defense techniques to underprivileged girls around the world so that they can defend themselves in the case of a dangerous situation. By providing them with the knowledge of how to punch, kick, and escape from someone's grasp, not only are we protecting their wellbeing but we are also building their confidence.

 

With this money, BAM will be able to provide the equipment and martial arts gear needed to run our program like projectors, speakers, and internet connection. We will give these items to our partners across the world and provide them with the resources needed to empower girls.
