Teah's Education Fund in Memory of Rachel Guinn
Donation protected
I am writing on behalf of my niece, Teah, who is finishing up her first quarter as a freshman at UC Davis.
Teah's mother, my younger amazing sister Rachel, recently passed away from cancer that she had battled on and off since 2013. It was Rachel's dream to have Teah attend college and pursue her dreams. As a third generation RN, my sister was incredibly proud of being a USC graduate. She wore her gold and red with pride. She would often use her own experiences as a young single mother to inspire and encourage her children as well our nieces and nephews to attend college.
As Teah was literally prepping for her first week of college, the family received news of her mother's terminal brain cancer diagnosis. She had to make the tough last minute decision to attend Davis or defer admission. It was at her mother's urging and encouragement that she ultimately decided to forge ahead with the plans they had been working on since she was little. Her first 2 months of college consisted of balancing college life and frequent trips home to see her mom. She has been earning amazing grades and has shown grace, perseverance and fortitude in what is an extremely difficult situation. All funds raised here will be to support her education pursuits. Thank you so much for reading and donating.
