Terri Franklin - Forever in our Hearts

Therese Ann Franklin (Terri) was born on June 11, 1957 in Fairmont, Minnesota. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1975 and attended the College of Saint Catherine where she received a B.A. in Education in 1979.
She married her best friend and love of her life, Michael James Franklin on December 27, 1980 in Fairmont, Minnesota. Together, they built their family home in Apple Valley, Minnesota where they raised their three children, Emily, Laura, and Joshua.
Terri shared her talent and passion for children and teaching throughout her careers in early childhood and elementary education. She finished her teaching career in 2017 as a kindergarten teacher at Cedar Park Elementary in the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district.
Terri loved to laugh, entertain friends and family, hike Minnesota’s north shore, and spend time with those she loved. She touched many throughout her life with her unwavering kindness, generosity, humor, strength, and grace.
Terri passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2021 surrounded by her family after a fifteen-year battle with breast cancer. A special thanks to the staff at Minnesota Oncology for all of their loving care.
Terri is survived by her husband; Mike; daughter Emily and husband, Chris Haley and granddaughter, Eleanor; daughter Laura and husband, Tony Erchul and grandson, Benjamin; son Joshua Franklin and wife Jenna Nitchke-Franklin. She is also survived by brother Paul Keefe (Michelle); sister Ann Beckel (Don); sister-in-law Karen Keefe and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Shirley Keefe, and brother Mark Keefe.
Terri will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
