USA Wine Tasting Team to compete in France,
Donation protected
How often does an opportunity of a lifetime present itself?
In the Southern California area, team members have just been approved to represent the United States in the International Wine Tasting Championships.
The competition is Blind Wine Tasting, sponsored by the French wine magazine, La Revue du Vin de France! Twelve unmarked wines are served to the team; they respond with the grape varietal, the country of origin, the region of origin, the producer, and the vintage in only ten minutes per wine.
The team consists of ladies who met as volunteer wine judges for a Wine Competition in 2021. As wine professionals, their paths regularly cross at wine-related events. The group is working to secure their 501 C-3 certification for donations that will assist in covering the travel costs, accommodations, entry fees, practice wines, and more. The international competition is on October fourteenth in Provence, France, where they will face up to thirty-six other countries for the best in the WORLD title and trophy. In 2022, they were the first all-female team to enter this competition! As their proctor, I know their dedication, experience and strategy will make them strong contenders!!
