Team Abigail & Aaron

María Abigail Ordóñez (6/19/83-10/20/18) was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer on her 35th birthday, when she was 4 months pregnant with her baby boy, Aaron. She chose to continue her pregnancy, while at the same time, undergoing chemotherapy. She endured the many side effects of her treatment, but fought hard to remain pregnant and take her baby boy as far along in pregnancy as she could.
When she was 36wks, she delivered a healthy little baby, Aaron. Her husband, Rosendo, and her two older children, Isaí (age 10) and Adrián (age 7), were there to welcome baby Aaron in the world. María Abigail continued to fight her breast cancer after she delivered her baby, however she never made it home from the hospital. 
María Abigail wanted to see her baby boy reach his first milestone of 1 month old. That day was a celebration for her family and for María Abigail. Sadly, the next day, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends. 
During her pregnancy and extended stay in the hospital, María Abigail touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was always smiling and so grateful for care she was given. It is because of such a remarkable woman, mother and wife that many of those that she touched helped the family arrange a memorial service, funeral and burial for María Abigail. Her husband, Rosendo, missed a substantial amount of work juggling the many doctors appointments she had, as well as taking care of the boys while María was unable to. 

This Go Fund Me was created to raise the money that is owed to pay for the remaining funeral costs. Any additional funds raised will go directly to Rosendo to offset his financial burden.
