Story

So we (myself, Miranda and Alfie) are going to be shaving our heads in July for children with cancer fund. Alfie is my amazing son and he is about to undergo his 3rd lot of chemotherapy.

Alfie has optic pathway glioma (this means he's has a sight impairment) and diencephlactic sydrome (brain tumor) and was diagnosed January 2018 and has since been fighting the best fight against this tumors.

First try we had treatment and it was over a year period and it grew 25% which was beyond devastating for our family.

After that it was a second lot of treatment which was over a span of 18 months and it shrunk it to 73% which was super positive for us and ended up stopping treatment and consultants deemed it as a "livable condition" and we went back to "normal life" for around a year.

Then we was struck with the devastating news on his last check up that would of enable him to go to yearly check up's that it had again grown 13% and we was straight back into the unknown.

So now we have the port back in and were back in the belly of the beast ...

With all being said Alfie will soon be loosing his hair again and we as a family are supporting him by also shaving our heads too!

We are doing a big head shave in aid of supporting him and also raising funds for Children with cancer fund polegate.

CWCF was set up in 1998 by Ursula & Chris Downton with Kirsty & James Denny. Now, with the help of other friends and family, we still go out having fun raising funds to grant wishes to families that live in East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and who have children that have been diagnosed with cancer.
