Team Amy: Support Amy's fight against cancer.
Donation protected
My daughter Amy just turned 18 years old and is in her senior year of high school. What should be a magical time of celebrations, college applications, and planning for the future has turned into the unfathomable: a cancer diagnosis.
After the discovery of a lesion and tumor on her femur, days before her 18th birthday, Amy was diagnosed with a bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. The moments since have all been a whirlwind...shock, tears, doctors' appointments, procedures, hospital stays, and starting chemotherapy. A massive team of Boston's best and a collaboration of hospitals have formed, united for her treatments.
In the midst of the unknown, one thing we do know is that we have a long, difficult road ahead of us. The exact timeframe of treatment is unknown at this time but will consume the better part of one year.
As I'm sure you can imagine, this diagnosis has had a devastating impact on our family, but together we rise. We are graciously overwhelmed by the love we've received so far for Amy. While there are many unknowns at this point, we do know we can rely on our village. Thank you all for your support, donations, prayers, and constant reminders of love and strength. We appreciate it all.
