Annabells journey to Houston

Friends and family, I'm calling on all the troops to get help for the Hammond Family!

Chris is a Staff Sergeant for the OK National Guard, Amy is his amazing wife and they share three girls; Annabell and Abagale (12yo twins) and Emma (10).

Miss Annabell is on her way to Houston in the coming days to have yet again another extensive surgery. This will make her near 20th major surgery, with an additional 30+ minor surgeries already under her belt.. I just don't know that anyone ever gets used to this! The primary focus this time will be to treat her Scoliosis BUT, five of her ribs are fused causing additional pressure on her airway and with her already low level lung function… It's all very challenging and present several unknowns!

If you don't know what VACTERL Association Syndrome is - I encourage you to look it up! You will be humbled and intrigued at the same time. The clinical definition leaves me without words and to know any human lives with any part of this on the daily, honestly breaks me.

Why do they need us!? Simple.

Amy is not going to be able to work while traveling for pre-op appointments or through the duration of recovery and follow-up appointments in Houston. Bartlesville to Houston isn’t a simple, short or cheap trip on any level, especially with a special needs child. This will help alleviate the loss of income, travel expenses, hotel stays and any additional medical expenses the family will incur.
