Team Baby Jayce for Childhood Cancer Research

Tax deductible

At the age of 3 weeks and 1 day, our son Jayce was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive cancer of the blood. At the time of this fundraiser launch, he is almost 4 months old and has completed 2 out of the 6 rounds of chemotherapy in his treatment plan. The medical research that has gone into cancer treatment has allowed us to have Jayce still with us, healing. We are so incredibly thankful for it and for the medical personnel who are caring for us.

Our understanding is that many of the protocols that are being used for his treatment are up to forty years old--not because the cancer protocols are perfect, but in large part because there is not enough funding for childhood cancer research. If there were more funding, there very well might be even more effective treatments for Jayce and other young cancer patients like him.

More research could find ways for treatment to be less toxic, have less long-term, negative impacts, and overall have a higher success rate.

After going through this with Jayce, this will always be a cause that will be near and dear to us. We hope that those in the future who find themselves loving someone with cancer will have the absolute best treatment possible.

This fundraiser will benefit The Children's Oncology Group Foundation, Inc., and any donation will help make an impact. Thank you for joining us in the fight against the wrath of childhood cancer.
