Bring Marley Home

For the past 163 days (since 9/6/21), our sweet Marley went missing in HHI, SC. We have tried everything possible to find her and Derek has stayed on island since while I went back to Atlanta. We have continuously ran social media, flyers, trail cams, scent articles, scent trails, etc daily since.

 

We have one last big idea we want try before Derek returns home. However, we no longer have the funds required to hire anyone, so we have decided to open a GFM in hopes of raising the money to hire a company to come out and help us do a ground search. While we hired a group in early November -and they hit on Marley's scent- due to time constraints they could only stay overnight. Therefore, we want to give it another go- but this time this company does ground work, scent dog work (WITH 7 DOGS!!), explores areas of interest, etc. We are hopeful this will bring Marley home- but it is expensive. It is $4,000 to get them here and for 1 days of work (4-6 hrs). After that, it is $1,500/day for room/board & the search that day. We are asking for $8,500 because we are hoping to do (4) full days of searching in order split the area up into 4-5 sections to search. They are available to leave this Saturday (driving) and arrive Monday, but of course we won't be able to schedule until we raise the funds- so TBD on exacts- all dependent on if she picks up another case. 

 

We have also booked THE Douglas Thron to hopefully come out AT THE SAME TIME. We will book a flight for the dates LPP can come out and hope we can raise the funds in time to get them all out together! He has flight costs and a simple daily fee, for (5) days- all in all totaling a bit more than 3k. 

 

WITH ALL OF THAT BEING SAID.. I know we are asking a lot. We have asked for so much over the last 5 months and we wouldn't be asking for more unless we were absolutely desperate. Our girl is out there and, knowing her, we think she is holed up somewhere just waiting for us to find her. She is family driven- not food or toys- but US and that is why we think she is trusting us and waiting for us. While we will NEVER give up, we know that what we are doing now is not feasible and must come to an end eventually - but we want to ensure we have given it everything and more- this is the more, as we have given everything SO.. if you can, and if you want to help us with this endeavor, please help us BRING MARLEY HOME!
