Team Canada Dance IDO World Tap Championships

I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Joelle Olivier. I have recently turned 19 years old and have been dancing since I was 3. I fell in love with dance from my very first tap class and I started competing at age 5. I compete in most dance genres such as modern, tap, broadway, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop but my passion has always been tap dance. I have won many accolades and titles with tap solos in the past such as Miss Starquest Emerging Artist at nationals in Orlando, Florida.

My proudest moment was my recent invitation to represent Canada on the Tap World stage being held in Prague Czech Republic this coming October 2024. I have been given the opportunity to represent Canada and I hope to make everyone proud. I have been privileged to dance in Ontario, British Columbia, and Nassau, Bahamas. Most recently, I completed my first year of university at York University, majoring in both Dance and Education.

I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support in this matter. Your support and sponsorship would be forever appreciated to help make my dreams come true and represent Canada in Prague at Worlds.
