TEAM CHISHOLM ADOPTION FUND

If you remember the United Colors of Benetton commercials in the 1980's then that's where this story begins. 

As a kid I dreamed about having a family someday with all those types of kids. Israelies, Arabs, Asians, Africans, Swedes, Americans, etc. United Colors of Benetton was ahead of their time when it came to diversity. 

After meeting the love of my life and dating for a year we got married on March 11th, 2017. She also brought with her the desire for adoption. 

On August 29th, 2017 we lost our first child through miscarriage and still not being able to get pregnant we've decided to start a family through adoption.  

This is where life finds us now. Moving forward through the adoption process. We have studied the various ways of adoption and believe that private infant domestic adoption is the best fit for our family at this time in our lives .   

Our adoption application has been accepted. WAHOO!!!

From everything we know this will be a year long process as we have classes in April and then our Home Studies following.  

Our next steps are to raise funds through this campaign and other means.  We can't pursue grants until we have passed the Home Study process for most grant giving organizations.  My second job this year will be applying for grants once we have passed our Home Study.

I was sharing with Shana the other day that since this process can take a year or so, this child hasn't been conceived yet.  God has already written this Childs story.  So, thank you for joining God and us on this journey.  We are super excited to watch God work.

Payment 1: Application - $400 PAID
Payment 2: Training and Home Study $2,400 - With Contract to begin service (April 26 & 27) PAID
Payment 3: Program Fee #1 - $10,200 - At Home Study Approval (3 to 6 Months) & Mom chooses us.
Payment 4: Program Fee #2 - $12,000 - At Placement of Child
Variable and Estimated Expenses: $4,500 to $5,500 - Legal Fees, Insurance, Counseling, Medical Exams, etc
