Please help our beloved Jennifer Ball who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of Medulloblastoma brain cancer. Over the past several months Jenny started having severe headaches due to fluid building up in her brain. She was admitted to the Neuro ICU and had to undergo a surgery that placed a permanent shunt in her brain to help drain the fluid. A brain biopsy resulted in Jenny’s diagnosis of Medullablastoma and a treatment plan consisting of radiation and chemotherapy was quickly formulated.
After just one radiation treatment, Jenny had to go through another surgery to repair a ventricle that had collapsed. Finally, with the fluid at bay, she was able to begin her specialized proton radiation treatment. Jenny will have 30 radiation treatments over the course of six weeks, with a short break before chemotherapy begins. Fortunately, Jenny has a genetic marker that is extremely responsive to this treatment.
Jenny has incurred an insurmountable amount of medical bills so we are asking for donations, of any amount, to help with these costs. Jenny's work ethic has continued to push her to work even during her cancer treatments. Additionally, Tim has been working, caring for Jenny, and navigating their insurance responsibilities. Donations to Jenny and Tim will help relieve some of their financial burden and allow them to focus on her treatment.
Jenny has an unforgettable presence and brings so much love and laughter to all our lives. She is hardworking, an avid mountain biker and skier, a marathon runner, a talented artist, and a lover of all things dog. After mountain biking and skiing the mountains of Colorado and Utah, Tim and Jenny found their way back to their St. Louis roots to be close to their families. Jenny and her mom, Nancy, are the best of friends and spend their spare time chasing around the two remaining Beatles and throwing parties for her fur babies, Lucy and Scout. Jenny is such a special person and is the friend you thank the universe for every single day.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your contribution, prayers, positive thoughts, calls, and texts. Jenny, Tim, and their families are eternally grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
