No Teacher Left Behind

We, the faculty & staff of Willard Elementary, who know and have the honor of working with Marianne, only know her as a model teacher: caring, devoted, and personally invested in the children of Willard Elementary.  We are heartbroken that she and her family have had to endure this unimaginable nightmare. This never-ending legal process has been extremely expensive and has become a financial hardship on Marianne and her family.

With that said, we are seeking donations to assist Marianne's family and would be greatly appreciative of any and all donations, no matter how small. We want Marianne to know that she is not alone in this fight and that we will not stop until her good name is cleared. Please share this campaign and help us to leave no teacher behind.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with her story, Marianne Kennedy is a beloved, well-respected teacher at Willard Elementary accused by Philadelphia’s Department of Human Services of abuse for an incident that occurred in June of 2016.

The incident in question occurred at Willard Elementary located in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.  The principal had sought Marianne’s help in calming an out-of-control student.  The principal has repeatedly stated that Marianne’s actions were professional, appropriate, and served to calm the student. 

Marianne was removed from Willard in September and has since been at the district office in “teacher jail” as she fights to clear her name.
