Team Kenny 2022: The Dooley Family
Donation protected
For those of you unfamiliar with Team Kenny: Our family started this Team to honor Kenny Konz. Kenny was a son, husband, father, grandpa, uncle, and cousin to many who loved him. In 2009 he lost his battle with kidney cancer. He was taken way too soon and we miss him greatly. Our way of honoring him and keeping his memory alive is by helping others struggling with this disease.
What started with a 5K in remembrance of Kenny has spiraled into a fundraiser in honor of him to help a family who has also been affected by cancer. Each year a recipient is chosen and we proudly present them with the funds that were raised because we know this is how Kenny would want us to keep his memory alive.
This year our recipient is Jim Dooley. Jim and Debbie Dooley live in Fort Dodge and have 2 children, Daniel 22 and Sophie 19.
From Debbie:
"In July 2016, Jim was diagnosed with cancer. Over the next 5 years, he’s had 3 major surgeries, 2 rounds of radiation, chemotherapy and many Dr. appointments and tests. We’ve had continuous support from our friends and family and feel very fortunate. We’re taking one day at a time and are very thankful for the time we have together."
Please considering donating in honor of Kenny and to help Jim and his family in his courageous fight against cancer.
Team Kenny thanks you in advance for the money raised and continued prayers for the Dooley's. Saturday April 9th Team Kenny will present the donations to the Dooley family.
