Team Kidney, Calderon Family
Donation protected
Hello Facebook Friends and Family,
My name is Lindsey Mayhew/Whittey, I am the Director at Grace Lutheran Preschool in Glendora. I am setting up this Go Fund Me account for one of my teachers at Grace. Mrs. Cat and her husband are in need of prayers and donations. Some of you know Mrs. Cat and know she has a huge heart and is always willing to help when needed. Now it is time to pay it forward. Mrs. Cat’s husband, Andrew Calderon (Scotty) was put on the donation list to receive a kidney. Mrs. Cat, the kind hearted person she is, was not a match for her husband, so she decided that she would donate one of her kidney’s in order for her husband to move up on the list. Mrs. Cat under went surgery this past June to donate her kidney, everything went well and with tons of prayers she has fully recovered. At the beginning of September, her husband received the call that they had found a match. He under went surgery on September 25th to receive his new kidney. Unfortunately, since the surgery he has had a lot of complication. The kidney is slow to waking up and has had a lot of shock due to transportation and other issues. Because the kidney is slow to wake up and start functioning correctly, it has affected his other organs. The Doctors think he may have had a mild heart attack and is waiting to undergo a valve angiogram, but they have to wait for the kidney to heal a little more. They do not want the dye used to affect the kidney more. On top of all the issues with the kidney and heart they think he has caught some sort of infection. Mrs. Cat has been back and forth between home, work and Ucla hospital. She has to keep working in order to pay medical and home bills. She is not one to ask for help, so on behalf of Mrs. Cat and Scott(her husband), her family here at Grace is asking for help in this time of need. Please continue to send prayers and any little amount you can donate will help them out.
Thank you in advance,
Their Grace Family
