Team Live Like Kev

All proceeds benefiting the 2024 Klassic and HCMA.

In March we physically lost a husband, a brother, a son, a cousin, and most of all best friend to so many. But if I've learned anything in the last three months it's that the spirit of Kevin Patrick Morrissey is very much still alive. There is no doubt Kev has a lot of visits to make, but many of us have been lucky enough to already see the signs and feel his presence in our daily routines. If there is one thing I know about the village that he built, it is that we will all continue to keep his name & memory alive. So this summer, I wanted to combine two of Kev's favorite things to do just that - Introducing Team Live Like Kev participating in this year's 10 Mile Sea Isle City Island Run benefiting The 2024 Klassic Golf Tournament.

I laugh thinking about how he probably wouldn't actually want any of us to have to run 10 miles dedicated to him. Instead, I like to think he'd smile at the fact that we are gathering on his favorite beach and running 12 minute miles cause we're probably hungover. No part of this "race" will be about the time we cross the finish line but instead, it will be about celebrating the life of our best friend, in a place he loved so much, helping a cause he cared about deeply.

Those of us running will need cheerleaders (and beer suppliers - hydration is key) so we would love to see many of you on August 10th! A great place to watch and cheer is around 44th St: there you can see us begin, pass at mile 6, and finish on the beach!
