Team LMF & Project DEEP Run Boston

Help support the Project DEEP/Laurie Melchionda Foundation Team running in the 2021 Boston Marathon. Money raised from this event will be used to focus on community, education, health and children's social & athletic development. 

For 26 years, the mission of Project DEEP (Dorchester Educational Enrichment Program) has been to cultivate the academic, athletic and social growth and development of middle school children of all races, creeds and ethnic backgrounds throughout the Boston and Dorchester communities. Through various programs, such as One on One Tutoring, Exam Prep and Private & Parochial School Placement, DEEP has been able to adhere to the needs of hundreds of neighborhood families and has been able to provide over 100 summer camp scholarships annually to hard working students. Additionally, since DEEP's inception, a Community Service component has been an integral part of what the organization is about, showing our participants the importance of giving back. With more than half of Team Project DEEP/Laurie Melchionda Foundation still volunteering years after having been enrolled themselves, we truly believe that goals and mission of Project DEEP work and continue to benefit the greater good.

Named for the one of the most inspirational women we know, the Laurie Melchionda Foundation was created with the idea that spreading the love of life that Laurie embodied and her kindness toward all on a daily basis would continue to live on and serve those who need it the most in her honor. By upholding the ideals that Laurie was most passionate about, the LMF is able to focus on community, education and health and fight for the betterment of our communities and those around us. In just one year of existence, we have already been able to make influential donations to local groups and organizations as well as several instalments of local school libraries in Laurie's memory. 

We believe that these two organizations with similar goals, who supported each other in life, will have a lasting and bigger impact for more by working together.
