Team Malcolm Fundraiser

As you may already know, our dad was recently diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer. We know it has spread to his lymph nodes and are awaiting results of a brain scan. The tumor was first found on an ultrasound in December, but thanks to the pandemic, surgery to remove a lymph node for thorough diagnosis was delayed.

         Dad begins seeing the Cancer Clinic next Monday, June 1st,  six months after the initial finding. If the cancer has not spread to his brain, they can begin aggressive treatments of chemotherapy and radiation at the same time. If the cancer has spread to the brain, he will need radiation prior to receiving any chemotherapy treatments.

        Our dad is a generous soul who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.  Dad is a self-taught guitar player and lead singer who has performed in  various bands within the province for over fourty years. Dad has been involved in Saskatchewan's local music industry as a volunteer with Saskatchewan Country Music Association and Sask Music for the past few years. Here he found a passionate desire to help talented youth and others become more recognized within the province's music scene. 

            He is also a proud man who doesn’t like to ask for help. Dad is self-employed and will be unable to work while receiving treatment. Dad’s income has already reduced drastically and will not cover the day-to-day living expenses and additional costs of medications that are already piling up.

              We ask you to consider donating anything you can to help him through this most difficult time.  All funds raised will go directly to dad. We are looking into other ways of raising funds but thought this was a good way to start.
