In February, Steve suddenly became very ill. He was so ill that he was rushed to the emergency room. He was admitted right away and diagnosed with end-stage liver disease. After spending a week in hospital care, he was placed on the transplant list and able to go home. Since then, he has had to keep weekly doctor appointments to make sure his liver levels are still under control. As a result, he has been unable to return to work and will soon be having to move from private health insurance to COBRA. Many of you know that COBRA health insurance carries a very steep price.
This GoFund Me page has been created to help take some of the burden off of Stephen and his wife, Joy.
If you know Steve, you know that he is one of the most selfless and caring men you’ve encountered. There isn’t anything Steve wouldn’t do for someone he cares for. His sweet and sunny disposition has definitely helped him through this extremely trying situation. Our hopes are that we can all pull together for this amazing man and truly help him in his financial time of need, as he would most certainly do the same for us.
