The journey continues to be hard. Janelle experienced late onset radiation necrosis, beginning April 2022. This impacted some good tissue in her brain and has limited her mobility, speech, and fine motor skills including writing and texting. Janelle also deals with regular tremors. This is a secondary battle to the original battle of 2 remaining brain tumors and one lung tumor.
In early September, Janelle fell and broke her nose and had stitches on the back of her head. She continues to heal.
Janelle is surrounded by an army of prayer warriors, volunteers to help her and her family, regular meals (these are 4 growing boys!), and encouragement from so many of you. Thank you! We thank God for you!
Mike is Janelle’s best therapist and the boys’ hugs and comfort are like kisses from God. Please pray for Mike, James, Jack, Judd, and Judah. Please pray for Janelle as she and her family deal with her suffering and seek God’s help through it.

In April 2021, Janelle was diagnosed with lung cancer which metastasized to the brain. This is after showing little to no symptoms, and a lifetime of clean living--no smoking or drinking, regular healthy diet and exercise, etc...so it was a shock! Brain surgery occurred shortly after the diagnosis, to remove the largest of three brain tumors. Doctors are deciding how to treat the two remaining tumors in the brain, and one lung tumor. The road ahead will be hard...and Janelle is surrounded by an amazing husband, 4 loving boys, and a network of family and friends. We thank God for all of them!

We are starting a GoFundMe to help with Janelle's medical bills , which are significant and will continue to add up over time. In addition, her loss of income will make life challenging for her family. We hope any additional finances will help the boys and allow for Mike, her husband, to take time off of work, if necessary, to care for her.
How is Janelle handling this? If you read her Facebook posts, you are welcomed into a personal life of faith, struggle, honesty, fears and love for God in the midst of this trial.
