Team Olivia: Fight against DIPG
This is part of Olivia’s journey. We are here to gather as a community and team to support Olivia, her parents, Shannon and Justin, and her siblings, Emma and Logan.
A message from mom:
We found out on October 14th that Olivia had a mass in her brain as well as a lot of spinal fluid. She had a shunt put in on October 15th and we were also told that she had a very rare brain tumor, a DIPG. It lives in the brain stem, so it is inoperable. We have a long road ahead, but we are going into it with hope, the only way we can. We have the best team of doctors that we possibly could and for that we are so grateful. We plan to take it day by day and fight for our beautiful, resilient, eccentric, and intelligent little girl.
We are feeling so many emotions right now, but we will keep hope in the forefront of our minds. Our focus right now is on Olivia, Emma, and Logan. All we could ask for right now are prayers and good thoughts for strength and healing.
Her strength and resiliency has already been apparent from this past week and that is what has kept us strong for her. She is such a beautiful light in our life and such a beautiful soul in the world. We love her so much and can only hope for the best as we walk into this new journey with her.
Liv is eccentric, creative, goofy, a planner, silly, beautiful, super resilient and wears her heart on her sleeve. Her favorite color is pink and she loves all stuffed animals.
Thank you for your financial consideration but most importantly for your prayers, thoughts and healing energy sent Olivia’s way. We love you all.
