Team Pryor's fearless fight against Lung Cancer

Hi, My name is Valerie and I am fundraising to help my husband George and I survive the overwhelming cost of fighting this Cancer. The medications are so expensive, it’s crazy. Four years ago I had part of my lung removed for a stage 1 NSCLC. I was told it was curative. No further treatment needed. Well guess what? Last month my CT , biopsy, PET scan and so on, has proven that it is back and now is Stage 4 Metastatic Adenocarcinoma in my lymph nodes. I am a nurse. I know the fight ahead. I have been nurse for 25 years and have saved a lot of lives, held a lot of hands and hugged away a lot of tears from my patients and families. I never expected to be the one needing help and what I really didn't anticipate was the amount of time I would be off of work for Chemo,radiation, scans, doctors appointments. A day here, 2 days there etc... If I dont work I don’t get paid, the vacation time disappeared quickly and sick time can only be used when off for multiple days in a row. I am trying to work as much as I can through this to support my family, I just need a little help for a little while. Anything you can give to help us though this next few months will be so greatly appreciated and never forgotten. I will pay it forward one day.
