Team Steven Lopez beating Leukemia!
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m Christine Rodriguez, Steven’s mom.
Steven is battling ALL- Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia a blood cancer that started in his bone marrow. The chemotherapy he has received is working but it will be many more months of traveling to City of Hope and 3 years of chemotherapy maintenance treatments for him. The chemotherapy makes him very sick, weak and wipes out his immune system. We don’t know when he will be able to return to his warehouse job at CMC. He was only there 9 days in September before he became sick. Therefore he is ineligible for CA disability and he no longer resides in Oregon so he is not eligible there either. He has zero income.
I feel like it’s time to humble myself for him. I would love for Steven to not have to sell his truck but to be able to pay it off (only 5k left), manage his very few monthly bills and care for his dog Pancho. I want to empower him to coordinate his own finances without having to ask mom(which we have gladly helped him with everything he needs),
With your help we can build a fund for him to care for himself financially and maybe that is something he can feel good about during the hardest days of fighting cancer. Taking any financial stress from him is my goal.
Steven has always been a giver and has helped so many people. To this day I meet people who know him and surprise me with their how Steven helped them stories. He has a huge heart and doesn’t know a stranger.
If your heart leads you to contribute financially or to pray for him please know that we truly appreciate it!!
Staying in prayer, faith and hope.
Thank you !
