Team Tenzen

My name is Tom Hasbrouck. I am fundraising for the education of Tenzen Thongsowa. He is the five year old son of my friend and former porter Sonam Thongsowa. They live in the Langtang Valley of Nepal near the Tibet border. It is very rural and poor. The money for public education rarely makes it up there. It is a dream for these families to have their children educated.

Last year we raised over $1300 dollars. Your generosity is helping a dream come true for Tenzen’s family. He has one year of school in and this is our chance to keep it going. We can make a positive change for generations.

Your generosity is appreciated more than you realize. It is not uncommon to see very tough, grown men, tear up when talking about their children’s education. Sonam only makes about $1000 annually. There is no way a rural family can afford to send their children to school without outside help. This Holiday season we can make a huge difference in a life.
