Team Ty vs. Cancer

Hello everyone, my name is Allie Henry and I am asking for donations to help sister, Lauren Henry-Lewis and her husband Ty Lewis as he battles cancer. They were married in September, 2021 and Ty was diagnosed with stage four lymphoma six months later. As Lauren stated: Our first year of marriage What we thought we would fight about…. This is, unfortunately not his first fight with cancer. Ty beat it approximately five years ago and was in full remission. A normal PET scan in March, 2022 revealed that it was back and with a vengeance.

Ty’s latest PET scan revealed that the aggressive lymphoma has progressed and is no longer responding to typical chemo treatment. Unfortunately, he has already reached his lifetime allowance for most chemotherapies. While in search of experiential clinical trials, next steps will include a brief atypical chemo/steroid treatment immediately followed by another bone marrow transplant. For this transplant, both he and Lauren with have to isolate for a month prior to the procedure and for several months afterwards during the recovery process.

This is where you can help! This treatment may NOT be covered by insurance. Additionally, Ty and Lauren will not be able to work for several months due to the bone marrow transplant. We asking for help to raise $50,000 to cover living and medical expenses during this time
