Tyrone Needs Our Help
Help Tyrone Battle Cancer
P. Tyrone Cancer Fund
It is with heavy hearts that we share that our dear friend, Tyrone was recently diagnosed with rectal cancer. He needs our help to make it through this tenuous journey and many of us have joined together to launch this GoFundMe.
Tyrone is someone who has always given back and it’s our turn to “Do Good Stuff.”
Tyrone’s battle has both short and long-term impacts. He will endure significant chemo and radiation therapy. He will be unable to work at full capacity, which over time can create tremendous financial stress. His prognosis is good, but there is no guarantee when it comes to this devastating disease.
What you may not know is that Tyrone and his husband, Rafael, recently took on a new business venture and together, they are now the owners of AWROOF! and Dog Day Afternoons. Tyrone invested his savings to make this dream come true for his husband, Rafael. The public announcement went out the day Tyrone got his diagnosis—it was both a happy and devastating day for Tyrone and Rafael. This has left P Tyrone and and Rafael with very limited financial resources to manage this unexpected diagnosis.
Running a new business takes time and money and as Tyrone endures cancer treatment, his ability to work will be greatly impacted. For those of us living in SF, we know that the cost of living can break you and that now goes hand-in-hand with the medical bills that Tyrone will accrue. Making ends meet will no doubt be tough and we want to alleviate as much stress as we can so that Tyrone can recover and heal.
Rafael will take on managing the new business and friends near and far have reached out and offered to help with treatment support, meals and other needs.
Our hope is to raise $20,000 to fill the income void caused by the chemo and radiation treatment side effects, which will knock him down for the initial treatment period of two months. This includes medical expenses, medications, and essentially living expenses like rent, utilities and and insurance.
We want Tyrone to focus on fighting this cancer.
We want to eliminate his stress so he can advance his healing.
We want to lift him up and get him back on his feet.
Please join us in helping to support Tyrone, someone we are proud to call friend. Please leave your comments below if you can go shopping, hang out in the early evenings, cook food, and help with transportation to treatment. This will support Rafael who will be dog walking during the day and Ubering in the evenings.
Give what you can, it WILL make a difference and is greatly appreciated.
