Team USA Athletes Lara and Stu reach for the Gold

Team USA Athletes Lara Dallman-Weiss and Stu McNay are reaching for the Gold as they strive to be a part of the Summer Olympics in July 2024 representing the United States in the Mixed Dinghy class.

Lara and Stu have just finished competing in the Olympic Test Event held in Marseille, France where they came in 5th place. This was a test event because it allowed top teams all over the world to see where the official Olympic event will be held and become familiar with the conditions on the water. The pair qualified for this event by winning their first two regattas as a team in December 2022 and February 2023.

The money raised from fundraising will go towards items that will help the team become the fastest in the world by being able to:

Buy a new boat

Work with expert coaches

Develop equipment to make them faster

Travel internationally to top-level events

Purchase food

Receive fitness training

The next upcoming race for Lara and Stu is the 2023 Sailing World Championship in The Hague, Netherlands, August 11-17, 2023. Here the team has the chance to qualify the nation for the Olympics.
