Our dear friend and colleague Ana Monsegue has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. Before I discuss her diagnosis further, I want to share something about her as many of you may not know her personally. I'm not sure where to start as I have so much to say. She is so many wonderful things and possesses so many genuine qualities that I can probably write a book. I will keep it short and sweet even though she deserves a novel.
She is a US veteran, a certified nurse midwife, daughter, sister, friend and a single mother to an awesome seven year old boy named Mason. She is smart, kind, honest, funny, generous and selfless. She is such an amazing woman and has touched so many lives. She proudly served in the US Army. She is a dedicated mother who loves her boy more than anything. She works incredibly hard and is dedicated to the women in our community by working as a certified nurse midwife. She is loved by all of her patients and has made a difference in each of their lives. She cares, she gives and she loves wholeheartedly. Her smile is contagious, her heart is pure. She is strong and determined to fight this... and WIN!!
Ana has a rare cancer that is located in the ampulla of vater. She will undergo aggressive chemo therapy which will be followed by a very long and complicated surgery called the Whipple procedure. She is expected to be out of work for up to one year, possibly longer depending on how her recovery goes. We are asking for continued prayers as this will be a very difficult and trying time. This diagnosis was very unexpected. If you are in a position to help monetarily, any type of donation would be a blessing. Please share. Please pray. Please donate. You have an army behind you my friend. We love you Ana.
