This fund was created by a friend of the Ohara family to help cover extensive medical costs in the wake of the loss of their 6 month old baby girl Dahlia. Dahlia took a nap at her normal time on a regular day and was unresponsive when her mother went to wake her up, afer ambulance, mediflight, and 4 days in the hospital she passed away. The coroner has concluded that this was a SIDS event. Dahlia was beloved and a joy to her family, and is survived by parents Bonnie and Aaron Ohara, and big sister Sophia (6) and brother Gabriel (2). 



-Dahlia taught us so much in her short life. To rise with the sun, to smile at every person indiscriminately, to laugh deeply, to be strong, to be determined in seeking goals, to let the sunset shine in your eyes, to relish the wind on your face and toes, to live in every moment with great joy. She lived a big life in a short amount of time, seeing the giant sequoias, staying up late giggling in mamas bed, many nature walks, fruits in the farmers market and above all being adored by everyone around her. I promise to honor her spirit by greeting each day with the joy that she did. I have no regrets, i can honestly say her life was perfect, and a blessing to us even if we don't understand why it was so short. I want to thank every person wholeheartedly who has reached out to me in every way. We are home and in great need of your continued love and support and community spirit.
