11th Team Dai Challenge 2018
Every year and for the 11th time now, Vientiane's Team Dai cycling team embarks on a multi-day cycling tour to raise funds for a local cause. This time it will be a loop east of Vientiane and around Nam Ngum Lake , a total of over 400km, and the funds raised will go to APL+, the Association for People Living with HIV/Aids.
The Association for People Living with HIV/Aids has been working for the betterment of people affected by the disease since 2003. APL+ envisions a Lao society where people living with and are affected by HIV/AIDS have a better quality of life, equal rights, and are able to live without stigma and discrimination. It strives to achieve this by engaging in policy dialogue, through advocacy, by developing skills of people living with HIV/AIDS, and improving access to treatment.
APL+ is the only organization in Laos that implements activities by people living with HIV/AIDS for these same people.
