As we all know, right now is a tough time for everyone. But it's even more of a challenge when you are fighting an extra battle. Now is the time to pull together for one of our own, for one of our Tigers.
On Friday, April 24th, Dustin was diagnosed with Stage 3 squamous cell cancer. Dustin is the father to two amazing boys and a middle school teacher to many. He coaches high school baseball and helps coach his boys as well. Dustin is someone who would help anyone in need and now we need to help him.
Next week, Dustin will begin meeting with a team of oncologists and radiation oncologists affiliated with KU Medical Center to put a plan into place to win this battle.
Please keep Dustin and his boys in your thoughts and prayers as they begin this journey they have before them. I know that with the support of their family, friends, and community, Dustin will come out of this victorious!
You can follow Dustin's journey on his Caringbridge site at https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/dut.
