As most of you know Gracie Mae Seymour who is our daughter (Heath and Heather Seymour) was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 8 (giant cell glioblastoma). Gracie has been the true definition of a warrior from the very beginning, undergoing 3 brain surgeries, 2 rounds of radiation and multiple types and rounds of chemo. Recently Gracies MRI has remained stable but her symptoms indicate that she now has tumor cells in and around her brain stem which are slowly causing her health to decline. We have ran out of treatment options and want to focus on preserving her quality of life rather than running her to Birmingham every 2 weeks for treatment that is really only making her feel worse, After lots of tears, discussions with her medical team and lots and lots of prayers we have decided to stop treatment (mostly at Gracies request) and Spend as much time at home as possible enjoying every moment that we have. Hospice of light is coming weekly to check on her and make sure that she has everything that she may want and need, I (Heather) have been staying at home with her and will continue to be out of work with her as long as necessary. We ask that you please continue to pray for our family and Gracie and know that we love and appreciate each one of you!
