Teaming up for Tess

I am Marilee’s sister Lisa and I am organizing this Go Fund Me for her and her family.  Marilee’s daughter Tess, 6 years old, was just diagnosed with a terminal brain stem tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pons Glioma.  This is a type of brain cancer.  There is no surgical treatment that is available.  Tess is a witty little 6-year-old who is mentally far beyond her years.  She is spunky, creative, artistic, funny and without a doubt able to provide you with entertainment.  She has an incredibly loving soul for her siblings and many cousins and family.  Tess loves being outside, wearing her JOJO bow’s and being a fashionista.  With any form of treatment, the doctors have given a very poor prognosis of time left. This is tragically devastating for her family.  Tess also has an older brother who is 15 years old and an older sister who is 12 years old.  Tess has already begun exhibiting the neurological deficits that have changed the way she is talking, swallowing, smiling, moving her eyes and overall loss of muscle control.  Tess cannot walk alone at this time.  Marilee will not be able to work for quite some time as Tess’s radiation treatments are every day Monday through Friday for 6 weeks and then ongoing care at home and many doctor’s appointments, travels, gas etc.  At some point we will be facing the big elephant in the room and Marilee needs help.  If there is anything you can contribute to her family during this time, even $1 makes a difference.  At a minimum please keep Tess and Marilee and her family in your thoughts and prayers.  God is a miracle worker!
