Last year, my beautiful and free spirited younger sister Kira Maynard was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cervical Cancer at 36 years old. Her diagnosis has been absolutely devastating. Since her diagnosis, Kira has spent an enormous amount of time in the hospital and has been receiving treatment in hopes of being cured. Unfortunately, she has now been placed under hospice care and is being lovingly cared for by our dear mother Gwen and our family.
For many years, Kira was the BEST sandwich artist at Subway on Chambers Road in Macon, Georgia until her health failed. She often speaks of her customers and strongly desires to return to work. All that have encountered Kira, have been touched by her bubbly spirit, contagious laugh and silly jokes.
As a result of not being able to continue her employment with Subway she lost her Health and Life Insurance.
Kira is the mother of three handsome sons that still rely on her care and support. Her oldest Kameron is 18 and will be proudly headed to college in the Fall; Mekiyah, her Miracle Baby is 17 has Cerebral Palsy & also happens to be a fighter like his Mom; her youngest is our sweet baby Connor, age 10. Her boys are her everything and she wants so much for them to just be okay.
Our family will be very grateful for any and all donations that are given. No donation is too great or too small. All funds that are raised will be used to cover the cost of any medical supplies/needs for Kira and the day to day cost of household expenses needed to provide for her and her kids. Funds will also be set aside for final expenses when the need arises.
As Kira continues the fight of her life, she continues to stand on her faith and is trusting God for a miracle. She is a true Warrior and Fighter!
