Team Kriete - Fight Ewing Sarcoma
Donation protected
What we thought were just growing pains turned out to be Ewing Sarcoma in our 10 year old son's femur. When "the growing pains" got worse we brought him to the ER and they did an X-ray. At first they thought it was a bone infection and then we found out it was bone cancer. He was in Newark University and quickly transfered to Childrens Hospital in Robert Wood Johnson. I stay with him during the day and Dad stays with him at night. This is 4 trips for our family to come back and fourth. It means twice the gas and parking, but it is important for him to know we are in this toghether. We still have a lot to be thankful for. It was caught early and is contained to his femur. He will have to have Chemo, surgery and then more Chemo. This will be a year long journey for him. It means long hospital stays and expenses we never expected. According to our insurance we will have to pay 20% of the medical expences and we have no idea what we are in for. Just so many expenses we never realized would be part of this.
Our family would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring of love we have received.
