We need your help.
As you all know about me, my passion is in the art of poetry. Early this year I decided to pursue this passion and devoted to the Los Angeles Poet Society full time. My time was not wasted as you can see on the LAPS Facebook page, we have reached out to 1,089 poets and writers, we've taught nearly 20 poetry classes at little to no cost to the community, reaching to out young budding poets and hosted over 40 events this year, where fellow artists can freely express themselves.
All of that did not come with out sacrifice, however, as I am working to making LAPS a non-profit where we do have pending grants, I, unfortunately am struggling financially, and am facing eviction from my residence.
We are sooooo close!
Our Summer Poetry Academy was recently featured by Poets & Writers, LAPS is also working with amazing groups like California Poets in the Schools, 100 Thousand Poets for Change, the ZZyZx WriterZ, Lit Crawl LA, and Poetrypalooza. We love being able to bring unite the arts and be a platform for poetry.
Please help...
I am reaching out to all of my fellow artists, friends and family to join me in my passion and to help me continue to be able to pursue my passion.
The untimely deadline is 3 days, but if all of my 1,089 followers on LAPS and hundreds of supporters in my personal network can take the time to donate $2, my goals will be reached and We will continue to thrive and move forward. Let's unite and do this!
We have 3 days from today: Friday Oct. 30 is the deadline.
We do want to give you something for your money.
All donators will get a personal "Thank You" poem from Juan and I.
All donations of $20 and more will recieve a chapbook of poetry, produced by the Los Angeles Poet Society.
We appreciate everything you do for us. WRITE ON and MUCH LOVE.
