Friends,
Brandon Lepow is an inspiration.
That sentiment has come up in almost every conversation, Facebook post, and heartfelt text message that has poured in over the last few weeks and months. Brandon is truly a special person and he didn't have to spend much time in your life to have a deep and meaningful impact. That much is clear from the sheer volume and diversity of emotional support that has flooded this hospital.
He has had so many visitors that the other patients on his floor have asked the nurses if there's a celebrity in one of the rooms, and the staff has never seen this level of support in their careers at MD Anderson. That showing of love has been an amazing gift for Brandon and if he ever doubted his impact on the world those doubts have been replaced with a realization that he has truly had a deep and profound impact on almost everyone he has touched with his precious life.
Another common theme that has come up over the last few weeks is, "what can I do?" and "how can I help?" This GoFundMe account is intended to give those who can and want to help a vehicle to do so. The funds raised here will go directly to Theresa and Brandon to help reduce the financial burden that his treatment represents. However, on a longer timeline we intend to convert this campaign into a foundation that will carry on Brandon's legacy of selfless giving to those who are affected by this terrible disease that he has fought so courageously.
Right now Brandon is still fighting and he is comfortable and in the company of his family and close friends so don't stop sending your thoughts, prayers, and love. But if you feel compelled to do more, your financial contributions will be greatly appreciated and will go to helping support his loved ones as they stay here to fight with him.
Please share this link with your friends and family and use it as an opportunity to tell Brandon's story. Share the ways he had made a difference and affected you. Live those moments with others. Laugh, cry, remember.
With love,
Brandon's family
