#TeamLora against Cancer!!!

At age 31, Lora was diagnosed at with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and was given 3 to 6 months to live. That was 9 YEARS ago!!! Lora has accomplished some really amazing things while fighting cancer every step of the way. 

Unfortunately, our superwoman was informed last fall that her cancer was compromising her spine and forced her to enter the fight for her life.  Lora's incredibly rough year of intensive treatment happened to coincide with the COVID-19 pandemic. Lora has been isolated from friends and support groups and unable to work because of a weak immune system.  During this year, she was evicted and had a number of hospital stays all while undergoing intense chemotherapy and radiation. Cancer and depression have taken her to dark places this year. However she is still here with us and is still fighting. 

Last year's fundraiser was crucial for Lora and helped her pay for treatment and essentials. She emphasizes that it was the generosity of her friends that helped get her through. 

But Lora is in need again. There are therapies that her insurance will not cover, living expenses that mount up because she still cannot work in this pandemic. And I think it's important that she also have some extra funds to spend on her hopes and dreams. Lora has consistently defied the odds and has accomplished some truly amazing feats; I think it's because she has dared to dream and has never let cancer get in her way. She is the strongest person I know.
