John was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on January 26, 2018. He is currently in a Pittsburgh hospital going through his first round of chemotherapy. After he undergoes another bone marrow biopsy to determine how his body is reacting to the treatment, further plans will be made. Hopefully, he is in remission and is able to rest at home with his family before more preventive treatments are undergone. If results are not met as hoped, he will be placed on another round of chemotherapy and remain in the hospital before he can return home.

While John stays in the hospital, Megan and the family have been taking care of everything else. We've had many of people asking how they can help. Prayers are always accepted, but they're open to any additional help for unforeseen circumstances. Due to the lack of dietary restrictions, I have acquired quite a bit of GrubHub points - and I'm sure his GameStop Rewards card points are getting there as well.

Due to the quick actions of John’s doctors for his treatment, John and Megan have not had the opportunity to determine any medical expenses. As it is not their main priority at the moment, it will come up later.

This is more of me trying to give them peace of mind and one less thing to worry about. I know Megan and John, and our families will be exceptionally grateful for any help.
