Team Mattman

Our little Matthew Singleton, age 2, we call him Matt-man - was diagnosed with Leukemia a few weeks ago (July 23rd). Matthew has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or ALL. This much too common form of cancer often affects young children. There is no known cause but fortunately there is an aggressive plan of care including intense chemotherapy in the blood and spinal column that has shown very promising results. Matthew has courageously gone through the first month of induction treatment. As a true super-hero he has been showing remarkable signs of improvement. The Singleton Family, Dad (Steven), Mom (Lisa), big brother (Steven, age 4) and of course Matt-Man, are now on a 3 year journey where Matthew will be given chemotherapy treatments and follow-ups every week until he is cancer free.

The emotional stress of this is now being compounded by the financial strain. Mom can no longer work full time and she now must pay for her health insurance. Multiple trips weekly to the hospital, and, frequent hospital stays add to the financial strain. In spite of this the family remains upbeat and positive. The Singletons, their relatives and friends are now part of Team Matt-Man.., all working toward helping our Little Super-Hero beat this evil villain Leukemia!
