Greetings family and friends! Thank you for visiting our page to support Teara through her health journey. Teara was in the midst of completing nursing school, juggling 3 children, and working when she received news that would turn her and her family’s lives upside down- “Teara I'm sorry but the mass they found is a sarcoma unfortunately you have cancer. This is rare and really aggressive high grade endometrial stromal sarcoma."

Teara miraculously completed Nursing School and began to fight the toughest battle of her life. She made it through surgery to remove the cancer, and was undergoing chemotherapy for preventative measures. She was learning to navigate this terrible new normal. Three months later, January 2023, we learned a new tumor was developing and the chemo was not working.

She is now at world-renowned UT MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) and is starting back to square one. Unfortunately, her insurance is out of network and will be a cash pay patient. We are working hard to leave no stone unturned, diligently working to keep her at MD Anderson by any means necessary. The funds raised from this campaign will be used to alleviate financial strain on her and her family - Prentiss Sr., Teara, Prentiss Jr. (10 yrs old), Peyton (6 yrs old), and Pharrah Elizabeth (23 months old).
