Tears on the Trails - Horse Shot by Hunter
Donation protected
On October 28, 2020, a beautiful autumn afternoon trail ride with friends in the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest turned tragic when a hunter's arrow struck a rider's horse in the front leg. The arrow pierced the horse's artery and a tendon. Due to the large amount of damage and blood loss caused by the injury, the horse - named Sam - was humanely euthanized.
The person responsible for the injury fled the scene and remains at large- sadly the horse's owner, Lisa Schreier of Jefferson, Wisconsin is left with no answers as to why this happened, a vet bill for euthanizing her beloved partner, and a hole in her heart.
Your donations can help Lisa cover an unexpected vet bill and help in her search for a new four-legged partner to fill the void created by the loss of her beloved horse.
