HELP GEORGIAN CLUBS SURVIVE
Donation protected
Today, Georgia is undergoing a deep democratic crisis, marked by state-sponsored violence, mass detentions, and the systematic targeting of peaceful protesters, journalists, activists, and artists.
By stalling the nation’s progress toward EU membership, enforcing oppressive anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, and paving the way for a Russian-style authoritarian regime, the system has ignited an unprecedented surge of resistance. Many have been injured or arrested, including prominent members of the club scene, as police continue to carry out illegal raids and interrogations. In response to this repression, cultural institutions, small businesses, teachers, and theater professionals have joined a mass protest, sacrificing their livelihoods despite having no financial cushion to rely on.
WHY IT’S IMPORTANT
In solidarity with the ongoing movement, we have once again halted our operations. This decision comes with a heavy personal and financial cost—many Georgian clubs, and artists, depend on every paycheck to cover mounting expenses and rents. Like many others in Georgia's cultural sector, we are making these sacrifices to resist injustice, even as the threat of financial collapse grows more imminent each day.
