Teddy Chow’s Get Well Fund

I’m actually in shock right now as I write this.  As many of you know, I adopted precious Teddy less than 4 weeks ago.  He is currently 9 months old, and this past Thursday, he was neutered at a local vet clinic.  I started to become concerned last evening when he had no interest in eating, was somewhat lethargic, and seemed to have some lung rattles.  His incision site looked fine (and I’ve been extremely compliant with his post-surgical care).  At 4AM today, I was awakened and alarmed by Teddy’s breathing.   I called the emergency vet, got him in the vehicle, and rushed him in for an assessment. Chest X-rays show that my beautiful puffball  “Osito” has a bad case of pneumonia.  How??? and Why???, I asked.  He was perfectly healthy!!!  His incision site is not infected.  He is up to date on all of his shots.  I am now confronted with the possibility of losing my sweet boy AND a $3000 vet bill.  The emergency hospital has admitted Teddy, and his treatment has begun.  ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated at this time, as I, admittedly, do not have the financial resources to absorb such sudden and huge costs.  I am gutted, but trying to hold it together, and I was given the opportunity to lay with Teddy in his cage, to comfort him AND me.  I am grateful to the medical team for taking care of Teddy, and hopefully, he will be well again very soon.  Prayers, kind words, and well wishes are very welcomed right now.  Thank you, my friends.  Love,  Karen
