Teddy's team

Teddy is 14 months old and he is up against a big fight. Teddy was admitted to Advocate Hope Children's hospital on November 29th with a mass in his chest. After 2 weeks of testing and waiting for answers, Teddy was transferred to Lurie Children's Hospital in downtown Chicago where he was diagnosed with a rhabdoid tumor. This is an aggressive and extremely rare form of childhood cancer. Teddy will begin Chemo and radiation on 12/13 in an effort to begin shrinking his tumor.

Together we all make up Teddy's team. Which means that we are also Theo, Aida, and Mari's team. We wanted to put this site together as a way to help support the family through this difficult time. Between medical bills, time away from work, commuting to and from the hospital and all of the other unexpected expenses that come along with this diagnosis we're hoping this can be one element of stress and overwhelm that we can lighten for Theo and Aida.

We ask that every one of you joins us in praying for Teddy. Praying for clarity in his treatment plan, for skilled and compassionate doctors, for Teddy's side effects and pain to be minimal and well managed, for an army of support for Teddy and his family, and ultimately for total healing of Teddy.
