Hey Everyone, I had a Medical Emergency just about one week ago. I had to call for an ambulance at 2 a.m. last Monday because I couldn't stand on my right leg. Once at Elmhurst Hpspital the first thing I was tested for was Bloodclots. After several X-rays, Sonograms, CT scans, and any other test you could think of, Thankfully the Bloodclot was ruled out.
The next step was draining fluid from my knee, A LOT of fluid, which came back as Gout of the right knee. Luckily no structural damage was done.
I was in Elmhurst for 5 days. I can finally go back to work on Friday, June 23. At which point I will have missed 2 weeks of work.
I'll be honest with all of you. It was a scary time, lying in the ER not really knowing what was going on. I truly didn't feel any relief until after my knee was drained. Then I felt I would be OK.
But now a new battle begins, and that is simply being able to pay for all of this. I was finally statrting to get back on my feet (pardon the pun) financially after being out of work for 2 years, now, that has all come undone.
Thankfully I have health insurance through my job, but right now I don't have enough for the out of pocket portion that I will be hit with.
I'll be honest I'm not good at asking for help. I know we each have our own bills to pay. We all work hard for every dime earned. I have always tried my best to solve my own problems, but this time I do need some help.
I don't make enough money to qualify for a loan, so I am reaching out to all of you. Any and all help will be forever appreciated.
Much Thanks & Much Love!!
