Teddy Afro Award Fundraising Initiative
This fundraising is organized to honor Artist Tewodros Kassahun (Teddy Afro) who is a giant in the Ethiopian music landscape, and most importantly, in the role he played thus far to bring Ethiopians together by consistently spreading the spirit of love and unity. Teddy Afro continuously demonstrated his unflinching love for his country and his people through his works that span more than 15 years. It’s practically impossible to describe the depth and strength of what he stands for, and what he has given to his country and his people, as his actions describe who he actually is much louder than any words can describe him. His poetic messages of love and unity have been healing messages to the Ethiopian people whom he loves so dearly. In return Ethiopians see him as their messenger of hope and icon. Hence, this fund is set up to mobilize all Ethiopians from all corners of the world who want to be part of a little gesture to thank him for what he has given to us so far, and in an effort to express our deep love for him and our appreciation of the unparalleled role he is playing to unite Ethiopians and defend Ethiopia. In this regard, a huge and historical award ceremony is being organized in Washington DC on August 5, 2017 to honor him with a medal of “የኢትዮጵያ አንድነት ታላቅ ኢትዮጵያዊ ሜዳልያ”, a certificate from Ethiopian People and all the money that is going to be raised from this fund. Thus, we invite all Ethiopians who love Teddy Afro to join this initiative and show how much you love him by contributing any amount you can. We thank you for being part of this huge and noble undertaking.
