Temple Street Children Hospital & Lily Foundation
Donation protected
Hi, our names are Louise and Philip and we have set up this GoFundMe to raise funds jointly for Children's Health Foundation in Ireland and The Lily Foundation in the UK.
Children's Health Foundation Charity supports the vital, life-saving work that takes place every minute of every day in Children's Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres.
The Lily Foundation is a UK Charity that works in partnership with the NHS and mitochondrial clinics pioneering medical research so that rare mitochondrial disorders, such as Leigh Syndrome, can be effectively treated and eventually cured.
Our baby girl, Fiadh, passed away peacefully on 26th January this year in the intensive care unit of Temple Street Hospital, one week after being diagnosed with Leigh Syndrome. Leigh Syndrome is a rare neurometabolic disorder that affects the central nervous system leading to respiratory failure.
We are planning to hike Croagh Patrick mountain in Fiadh's memory on Saturday 24th August (start approx. 10:30am), all are most welcome to join. Would you like to join us in making a difference? Can you please share this page with a wider circle of friends and family? We are very appreciative of all donations, regardless of the amount. All donations will be directed to both designated Charities as an even split. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us in honoring the memory of our beautiful baby girl.
